…. as Foundation held 9th AGM
In what could be described as gathering of brotherhood, love and unity, a socio- economic group in Akwa-Ibom state “Blueseal Foundation” ( Blue Seal Family), December 14th, 2024 gathered members of the Foundation, friends and associates from all walks of life to celebrate this year’s Annual General Meeting, (AGM) with a call on members and by extension Akwa Ibom people to show love and affection to one another.
In his inaugural speech, at the 9th AGM of the family, Theme: “Effects of Division in the Brotherhood,” the new family head, Bro. Efiok Akpan appreciated the Supreme Head, The Chancellor, and all members of the Foundation for believing in him to bring in the desired change to BSF as well as seek for their continuous support throughout his administration.
Mr. Efiok, who has made an impact as a successful business man, promised to raise the bar of leadership by ensuring the survival and betterment of the Association in all ramifications.
He pledged to offer purposeful and impactful leadership by advocating for the needs and concerns of members and creating opportunities for members of the association to leverage on what they do.
Hear him. “I am deeply humbled by the truths place in me, I pledge to uphold the values and legacy of our family. We gather here to mark a new chapter in our journey as a noble family, building on remarkable achievement of our predecessors, their vision, dedication, and perseverance will remain our guiding principles.”
“We reaffirm our dedication to empowering the family through sustainable initiatives, fostering unity and cooperation among family members and promoting excellence in all endeavours. We will uphold integrity, transparency, accountability and equally strive to create opportunities and innovation and promote social responsibility.” Mr. Akpan assured.
Akpan, while appreciating the outgoing family head, Bro. Ubong Eno, for his tireless efforts, dedication, wisdom, and unwavering commitment to the growth of the family, stressed that within 3 months of his stewardship that the Foundation will have a functional cooperative society, as preparation are underway to venture into a lucrative business that will bring additional income to the family for the purchase of a landed property for the Foundation.
Earlier in his tone setting, Supreme Head of the Family, Barr. Effiong Udofia explained that the family was established to promote brotherhood, share things in common, and help one another. Hence, their constant commitment to the welfare of members. He called on all and sundry to join the family as membership is open to all and see their life turns around for good.
In his valedictory speech, the outgoing head of family, Bro. Ubong Eno said his over 3 years on the saddle has been fruitful and rewarding, hence the need to also give others the opportunity to serve and learn.
Eno thanked all members for their support over the years, said he has left Blueseal family better than he met it, with 24 active members, while urging the new leadership to do their best in repositioning the Foundation for greatness.
The high point of the event was inauguration of the 4th family Head by the Supreme Head, induction of new member, unveiling of family uniform and presentation of awards to outstanding members by the outgoing family head for their sacrifice and dedication to the family.
