…donates Toyota Car to Catholic Priest

In his usual philanthropic manner and felicitations to the soon to be ordained, Catholic priest, a renowned philanthropist, and founder of “heal the world foundation” Dr. Emmanuel Ntatam Sunday, July 28th donated a brand new Toyota car, to Rev. Nsuhoridem Umouman to assist him in the work of God when he resume officially as the parish priest of Ikot Ayan Ediene,Ikono Local Government Area.

Dr. Ntantam who doubles as Chairman of the occasion, expressed his happiness for the church in choosing him to chair the occasion, explained that the gift was a token of appreciation for Father Umouman’s unwavering commitment to serving God, and a pillar of strength as well as inspiration to many others in the community.

In his words, “Christ is my model. Giving is a command, the more you plant, the more your harvest would be”. We are doing service to humanity in our own little way, we preach the gospel of humanity at all times because that is the best message. As human we must do our best to brighten your corner.”

The Ikono born financial expert,revealed that his conscious and consistent efforts at empowering people and building capacities is purely divine commission, explained that heal the world initiative is a vision given to him by God to continually champion humanitarian causes, promote selfless services and generosity that will pave the way for a brighter and more compassionate world, while calling on good spirited individuals to contribute to the development of humanity, as that remains the ultimate sacrifice before God.

In his commendation remarks, the parish priest of Ikot Ayan Ediene, Rev. Fr. Brain Brown lauded the ingenuity of Dr. Emmanuel Ntatam and his Foundation for supporting the ceremony, thanked him for his love for God and humanity, while urging other well meaning sons and daughters of Ikono to emulate Ntatam by reaching out to the less privileged with their support, describing heal the world foundation as unique, godly and human centric that should be supported and protected by all.

Earlier in his welcome address, Dr. Francis Otung, Chairman Priestley Ordination Steering Committee, said the car will not only help Father, Umouman in his daily travels but will also enhance the church outreach programs. Describing Ntatam’s gift as a blessing that will enable the church to extend their support to even more individuals and families in the community.

Rev. Nsuhoridem Umouman who will be ordained on Saturday 21st September, 2024 as the second Diocesan priest, is expected to perform his first mass/reception at St. Michael Parish, Ikot Ayan Ediene, hence the need to prepare him with the basic requirements to his office and person as a newly ordained Catholic Priest.

Among dignitaries that graced the occasion includes; Commissioner for Health, Akwa Ibom State, Prof. Vincent Umoh, represented.
Dr/ Mrs. John Paul Eduo, Hon. Emen Uwah, who served as mother of the day, Hon. Nkeneke Akpan Efo, SA to Governor Umo Eno on media among others.
