In a bid to promote humanitarian services and support human capacity development, a foremost philanthropist in Ikono LGA, Dr Emmanuel Ntatam has called for an increase in selfless acts of kindness and compassion.

The renowned philanthropist made the plea at a recent breakfast meeting with Media practitioners at his Uyo resident, emphasizing the need to “heal the world” through collective efforts.

As an initiator of “heal the world” movement, he called on public office holders in the southern region of Nigeria to shun backstabbing, defamation of human character, and learn not to separate politics from their religion, stressing that religion is supposed to serve as a guide to their conscience.

The business mogul explained that heal the world initiative is a vision given to him by God to continually champion humanitarian causes, promote selfless services and generosity that will pave the way for a brighter and more compassionate world.

Inoder to give a young and a vibrant muckraker, an excellent platform to harness his media opportunity with a touch of professional coverage, Dr. Ntatam approved funding for the registration of Abasianyanga Akpan, an indigene of Ikono Local Government Area into the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ), a gesture aimed to support Akpan’s professional journalistic endeavors and empower him to amplify the voices of his community.

The education loving leader and philanthropist, Dr. Ntatam has launched a one million scholarship scheme in tertiary institutions tagged “GO FOR IT” to help the less privileged students in Ikono settle their school financial burdens, thus creating an enabling atmosphere for studies.

The one million naira scholarship tour according to the sponsor will carter for the tuition fees of 10 students across 5 tertiary institutions in Akwa Ibom State, which have so far recorded success in two institutions, namely, Akwa Ibom State College of Education and Akwa Ibom State Polytechnic, steering towards 3 more schools to round up the first phase.

Earlier in his remarks, Leader of the group, “Ikono/Ini Online Media influencers” Comrade Emmanuel Sampson, described Ntatam’s humanitarian services as a “One Man Mopol, who’s campaign is marked by his unwavering confidence and ability to connect with the people on a personal level.”

Sampson himself, a registered member of NUJ, Akwa Ibom State Council, Ethical and Attitudinal Reorientation Czar, praised Dr. Ntatam’s initiatives re-echoed his bold and compassionate interventions by “Heal the world” intended to cushion the harsh economic realities presently felt across the state. As such, both initiatives must be jealously and diligently nurtured to optimally succeed.
